The Richie Brace consists of a very aggressive and very supportive custom made foot orthotic with a medial and lateral leg brace. It is used in conditions that may be heading towards surgery and a standard foot orthotic is not working as well as it should. The Richie Brace is much more supportive than a normal foot orthotic. This makes it very useful for conditions like the progressive flat foot that can develop in adults (posterior tibial tendon dysfunction) and the lateral instability associated with chronic ankle sprains.
