The calcaneal squeeze test is when you simply squeeze both sides of the calcaneus or heel bone and see if it elicits symptoms. A positive response to pain is a ‘positive calcaneal squeeze test’. If you are positive then it means you probably have a calcaneal stress fracture (if you are active) or calcaneal apophysitis (if you are younger)
