Kohler’s disease is an osteochondrosis of the navicular bone at the top of the arch of the foot that causes pain in children. The natural history of Kohler’s disease is to resolve over time, however that time course with or without treatment can be very variable and its near impossible to give advice how long it will take for any particular case to resolve.
Some that are not too bad can clear up in a few or so weeks, others can take over a year. With treatment most do tend to resolve within six months. This variability needs to be kept in mind and there is no set time can be advised for each individual case.
