Clubfoot is a deformity of the foot that is typically present at birth. Most are diagnosed at birth, but occasionally it is missed and diagnosed later.
The prevalence of clubfoot is generally believed to occur in between 1 and 4 times per 1000 live births.
The exact incidence may vary between research studies depending on the definition that is used to define a clubfoot and the population that it studies. Some population (eg the Maori people in New Zealand) have a higher incidence.
